Maui Permit Fixer is Dr. Jennifer Salisbury
Long-time Maui resident, Jen is a Maui construction manager for her husband's company Valley Isle Enterprises, Ltd (Hawaii Contractor License BC-35701). She has spearheaded and gotten approval for the most difficult permits including:
- An After-The-Fact Permit in Hana, which saved the property from going into foreclosure, and resulted in the property selling
- New Construction Multi-Family Condominiums in South Kihei, which was started in 1995 including: Special Management Area compliance, Right of Entry special use road from Dept of Public Works, Pool & Spa Permits from Dept of Health, Occupancy of all 32-units in 2023 (see www.paradiseridgemaui.com for the project)
- After-the-Fact Permit in Haiku including correcting code-violations from a home deep in foreclosure
- Several new Individual Wastewater Systems/Dept of Health permits and oversee of installation
- New Building Permits for five new construction homes, including two ohanas under one roof (which we call "stacked")
- Assist in gaining Building Permits and Final Dept of Health Approval for installation of new grease trap at Patticakes Bakery in Wailuku (see testimonial from Patti Dodd below)
- Farm Plans and BX permits for Agriculture
- And with a support network, she can do lots more.
Let's face it. Jen doesn't lose her cool when permit stuff gets stressful. She keeps a respectful demeanor, works with all involved to find that solution and get to approval. Better yet - she gets to occupancy!
Jen is who the inspectors call when a building or family is about to lose everything.....

Jen Created MAPPS Videos for the County of Maui
The County of Maui shifted all building permit reviews online in April 2022. This caused a lot of confusion for those in review, and starting reviews. So.... the County asked Jen to make some videos to help educate users in the MAPPS system. See the videos she created here:

Our Maui Community
Both Jennifer and Michael are long-time Maui Community contributors. Michael has been a Rotarian for over 40 years, including over 15 years on Maui, and is a current member of the Upcountry Rotary Club. Jennifer is a former Construction Industry of Maui board member, the current Maui United Way board Secretary, and has recently been appointed by Governor Green to the State of Hawaii's Small Business Regulatory Review Board (see sbrrb.hawaii.gov). Including Jennifer's parents, the Ohana has been Maui Chamber of Commerce members since 2005; Michael's general contracting company, Valley Isle Enterprises, Ltd is a current Maui Chamber and Construction Industry of Maui member (Hawaii License BC-35701).
Both Jen and her husband Mike have earned on-stage real estate awards.
